Looking for a job can be a long and exhausting process. Skilled immigrants face many challenges when they are trying to land a relevant job in Norway.

In this session two former job seekers, Iva and Samson, will share their stories and experiences of looking for relevant work in Norway. They will touch upon the challenges they encountered and share what worked for them in the process. The job seeking process can be tough, especially after a long period of searching and facing many rejections. This session will therefore offer some tips on how to take care of ourselves during these challenging times.

Iva Ogrizovic is a Program Director at Diversify (diversify.no) where she co-designs and manages programs for skilled immigrants addressing the difficulties they face when trying to secure relevant employment. Iva is passionate about professional and personal development and empowering people to realize and use their potential to make positive changes in their lives. She is originally from Croatia.

Samson (Mahari) is a communications advisor based in Bergen. Originally from Eritrea. He holds degrees in journalism and media studies and has spent nearly 17 years working as a journalist, copywriter, and communications specialist.
