Today’s topic will cover key elements involving cover letters when applying for a job:

- a brief run-through of the essential components of the cover letter, focusing on the basic layout and function of each section

- things to mention and avoid when in your cover letter

- a brief assignment towards the end where participants will share a job ad that they are considering or have considered and write their pitch, a paragraph outlining their experiences and success from a previous position and a fun fact

Samson Mahari is a communication advisor based in Bergen. Originally from Eritrea, he holds degrees in journalism and media studies and has spent nearly 17 years working as a journalist, copywriter, and communications specialist.

Every second monday at 14:00 we host a physical job workshop in Oslo, at Øvre Slottsgate 3 (5th floor) in Oslo. The other Mondays, the job workshops are online in Zoom. The Job Workshops are a meeting arena where you can:
