When we say ‘competence’ people often think about formal competence. Education, certifications, courses… your knowledge.

But competence, from a recruiting perspective, refers to your ability to use your knowledge and solve tasks and challenges in real-life situations. This includes knowledge, but also attitudes, and so-called soft skills.

Identifying your informal and soft skillsets is therefore essential. We have invited Cecilia Dziula, head of HR with Dynamo Analytics Nordic, to share some thoughts. Cecilia is a psychologist and experienced global mobility/HR coordinator. She is also a former mentee with Sammen om en jobb, and understands what the jobseekers process looks like.
